This 16mm film was taken by AE2 Bob Tanska.
Squadron personnel supporting the planes boarded the Yorktown at Long Beach around 1 July 1962 and the carrier quals started a day or so later. The airfield [at end of clip] is / was NAS Seattle (Sandpoint) frequently referred to as the Country Club of the Navy for its proximity to Seattle and its physical appearance.

The original film was copied to a DVD by Robert John Tanska(AE2).
We converted it to mpg4 for viewing on this site.
